Clupea pallasii / Hareng du Pacifique / Pazifischer Hering / Aringa oceanica / Сельдь тихоокеанская / 太平洋鲱鱼 / 太平洋ニシン

A highly fertile species, Pacific herring can be found from the Californian coast to Japan.

Pacific herring spawn throughout the year, but most typically during the earlier months. Since they do not die after spawning, Pacific herring can breed in successive years.

Our fishing grounds

Pacific herring can be found in intertidal and sub-tidal environments, such as submerged vegetation. Our Pacific herring is harvested in the Sea of Okhotsk.

Fishing method

Pacific herring is caught with a mid-water pelagic trawl (OTM).
